Small town spot that's mainly for locals and is basically a bar, pizzeria, coffee shop, ice cream shop, and small grocery/convenience store a rolled into one. The charm of this place is amazing. However, don't come expecting something fancy. Small town America, friendly people, amazing food and drinks. This is some of the pizza in America period. The ingredients are as local and fresh as it gets. What puts this place over the top though is the seating outside and the creative speciality pizzas.

This place is in the middle of nowhere but don't let that shade your attitude. These folks lay down some tasty slices of heaven. The biggest redeeming factor of their pizza is the slight crispness of the crust, but also the entire underside of the slice. Also great local craft beers available. You can inside or outside on picnic tables.

!!!!!!!GREEN MOUNTAIN PIZZA!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You have to get one, no get 2 or 3 cause it will disappear as soon as it hits your table. Friendly staff every time I have visited which is probably close to a dozen times in the past 4 years. Great local tap beers. Eat outside in the backyard, let the kids play while waiting for your food (long wait most of the time). Doesn't get much better than this for dinner though. Live bands as well. While this is not NY or New Haven CT style pizza its the best you will get outside those 2 locations in the northeast. The Green Mountain Pizza is special in its own way its so damn good that the kids crave it year round.

The Green Mountain Special- One of my favorite pizzas in the world! Simple ingredients from Vermont make it so good. Love the subtle maple taste. Definitely worth driving 1 h 45 from Burlington. Malibu Barbie is also excellent. Don't expect high end service.

It was almost 9 PM, and we were hungry. There didn't seem to be a lot to offer, so we eventually, reluctantly followed the directions to a local pizza place called Parker's Pies... We were baffled that we seemed to be going deeper and deeper among farms, and, frankly, we were not impressed by the gas station like front. But colorful lights beckoned us around to the back... There, we found a beautiful oasis. The building is amazing inside, and we happened to show up when live music was playing...a super-talented country/blues guitarist and singer. It didn't hurt that the food was amazing...buffalo chicken nachos, pizza with cheese baked into the perfect crust, a mind-blowingly tasty meatball sandwich. And, although I don't drink my husband our friend were very impressed with the beer and cider selection. When you find a real hidden gem on your travels, it's such a treat, and I feel that this is what happened tonight. If I find myself in the area again, I know where I'll be heading.

Worst dining experience I've had in years....neighboring farm was spreading liquid manure and an excavator was removing a gas tank near the back yard dining area. On top of the diesel, the cloud of flies, and the potent odor of liquified manure, I was treated to 10 inch hair in my pie. I had put up with all the rest for the payoff of that terrific chewy crust. Now, all was lost. So now, I've been to Parker pie three times. Only one good experience. While I live fairly locallyI don't think that I will be back any time soon.

If you're the type of person who will drive here for pizza and Hill-Farmstead drafts, you'll love it. Bring the dog during finer weather as the porch is leash-friendly.

The cheese pizza was mediocre at best, but the Green Mountain pizza was the best my husband says he has ever had. The salads were great too and we loved sitting outside and letting our son play while we sat at the picnic table.

Beautiful spot, a bit hard to find but glad we did. We got a sandwich and a small personal pizza and both were delicious. Service was a bit weird and they were stingy on the ice (maybe I'm exaggerating it was 94 out) but all in all a good spot, I'd return!

Awful service, arrogant hipster employees, obnoxious trustafarian clientele, and a long wait for burned, overpriced, greasy pizza. You'd be better off cooking a frozen Tombstone Pizza in a microwave than eat here.

Holy cow, the pizza here is delicious! I didn't expect a pizzeria in the middle of nowhere to have such good food. Highly recommended.

What an incredible place. If you are anywhere in the Northeast kingdom of Vermont, take the drive. This is a really charming place with the best pizza on the planet. A great selection of craft beers and the friendliest staff you will ever meet. You can't leave without ordering the Green Mountain special pizza. I have been here twice now and I will say that the place has an eclectic mix of clientele. The friendliest you will ever meet. There is entertainment on Thursday and Saturday in the old town hall on the second floor. Go there or you surely will be square.

One of the highlights of my trip to Vermont. I would have went everyday I spent there if it wasnt for the fact that it was about an hr and half away from where I was staying. Me and my boyfried order the pizza special and we later discovered they had bottles of Cantillon Gueuze. They also have a lovely outdoor area where everyone seems to go with their kids and relax. So so cute. I cannot wait to go back.

This 5-star review is solely for the most amazing pizza I've EVER had. Some friends and I stopped in after a rainy Bread and Puppet performance because the pizza is notoriously good. The place was pretty crowded but we were able to move our way to a table eventually and ordered ***The Green Mountain Pizza*** which has cheddar, baby spinach, red onion, apple, maple syrup, crispy bacon and a lightly cheesed not-too-thin-or-doughy-crust that blew ALL OF US away. I have to say that I think it is the best pizza I've ever had in my life. We were all raving over it. I think everyone else enjoyed their beers as well. That pizza though!!!

Order the Green Mountain special! I grew up in New York and I know my pizza. I can honestly say that this pizza is amazing. I think it's almost time for a road trip.

The best. Period. We were visiting from out of toward were looking for pizza. This was the only place in the area and I am glad it was. We stopped in with our infant not realizing that it was mostly a bar and not a restaurant. Which was awkward until the bartender told us to come on over to the other bar where a couple offered to share their table with us. While we ordered and ate two other families with young children also dined in so we didn't feel so bad in the end. The pizza was phenomenal and we purposely left some for the next day rather than finish it off. Go, you won't be disappointed.

Given all the rave reviews, I was disappointed. First of all, the pictures on the internet are misleading. This place doesn't look as nice inside or outside. That said, the place during leaf peeping season was packed. I'm not sure how many of these people were at this place for the first time, like I was, but by the time I finished my meal, my mind was made up. Second, you are essentially surrounded by farms and smell of cow manure or silage smell is everywhere. Living in Vermont, I'm OK with that to a degree as this is part of living in the country, but I'm not OK with all the flies in the country store/restaurant/dining area (if you can even call it a dining area). The place looks and feels dirty. We ended up sitting outside because we could not stand all the flies inside. Third, if you are going to provide outdoor seating on picnic benches, at least fix your benches that have split wood or broken seats. Seating is sparce as it is. Fourth, maybe mow the lawn while you are at it. No one wants tall grass itching at their legs while trying to enjoy rather expensive pizza and beer. Gripes aside, the food is pretty good, and there is a lot of garlic in the margherita pizza, which I like, but when some of the pizza has chunks of garlic, that is not so good. Also, if you see the parking lot packed, that means you won't be getting your food for a while. We ordered our pizza, and after about 35 minutes, the staff started telling patrons that pizza and food delivery would take 1 hour, and soon after, it became 90 minutes. That is a long time to wait for pizza, which is good, but not that great. I saw one patron ask for his money back when he found out the wait was an hour for pizza. He said he had been there before and the pizza wasn't that good. I'd tend to agree. I want to support the local Vermonter as much as anyone, but I was disappointed. The staff was swamped, friendly, and doing the best they can, but it is obvious that the kitchen cannot keep up. If you like a real crunchy, earthy, granola type of atmosphere, and you are ok drinking beers while maybe listening to music all night (there was not while we were there), maybe this place is for you. If you want a pizza in a half hour on a busy weekend night and you have kids with you, well, I would not recommend it. You order at a counter and you order your drinks at a counter. The staff does bring you your food. Given my experience, I'm not sure why, but left a modest tip, knowing they are working hard, but overall, I was disappointed. On another night, it might have been better. But you have to at least keep the place somewhat clean and tidy for me to come back.

This is one of my all time favorite pizza joints. You can sort of see into the kitchen from either one of the bars, and in doing so you can see the staff, happy and working really well together, joking around and jamming out to some tunes. It's awesome! That kind of work atmosphere allows the food to be awesome, the pizza specifically is terrific. Sometimes the pizza quality varies, but I think that's all in who is running the pizza oven or maybe it's who's making the pizza. Regardless, I and all my friends always have a blast when we go, they have an outstanding beer selection, wine too, and it's just a really happiness inducing place to be.

Atmosphere was amazing, live music, local crowd. Busy, yet efficient. Pizza, wings, spinach salad, fries all great. It was one of the highlights to our NEK visit. A great taste of the local scene.

Great large pizza. Fantastic tap selection: Not a big tap selection, but super high quality. Loved it. Started to be not so great once the Hillstead crowd showed up and packed the place, but that isn't their fault. Looking forward to going back.

My friend and I took a road trip to Vermont a couple weeks ago, and on a day trip to Quebec, we stumbled on Parker Pie Company. What a great find! The first thing I was pleased to see was that it is accessible (handicapped parking, flat entrance, and a very large bathroom, I discovered later). The space is small, but we found a table and ordered at the counter. The girl working behind the counter that day was super friendly and really helpful. I ordered a caprese sandwich which ended up being about 10 inches square. I came with the usual tomato and mozzarella, but with pesto instead of pieces of basil and balsamic vinegar. I added roasted red peppers and that was a delicious sandwich! The garnish was pickled turnips, which I had never had before and am now somewhat obsessed with. My friend had a veggie pizza, which I had a bite of. It had the right amount of cheese and the crust was thin and chewy. My other friend had a salad, which was huge and she seemed happy about it. The restaurant is at the back of a general store. We didn't spend a lot of time there, but they seemed to have a small, but good variety of handmade jewelry, baked goods, and hippie shampoos. All in all, I would tell people to check this place out. It seems a little out of the way, but I think it's worth the trip.

Parker Pie Company is a fantastic place and a wonderful example of how to operate a business that has a positive impact on the community. The Pizza' s are wonderful. Tasty and creative combinations dominate the menu. While waiting for your pie or sandwich, you can enjoy some of the best beer in the world, locally brewed in the northeast kingdom of Vermont*. I spend a lot of time in Craftsbury Common, and only wish that someone would do something like the Parker Pie Company there. That being said, the drive from Craftsbury to Glover is all on back country dirt roads, and I might enjoy that more than the PPC itself :) *google "The Hill Farmstead Brewery"

My husband and I came here on a weekday after a trip to Hill Farmstead - the restaurant was recommended in The Great Northeast Brewery Tour, and I noticed a sign at Hill too. The service was great. The woman working the bar took our order promptly, and we went outside to wait. The wait for pizza seemed rather long, and the woman stopped by to tell us that the kitchen staff had accidentally burned ours. They had another in the oven for us and offered to refund the money for the pizza, but we settled on a second beer for my husband at no charge. The pizza was totally worth the wait. We got The Green Mountain with baby spinach, apples, red onion, bacon, garlic, maple syrup, and tons of cheese. It was literally the best pizza I've ever had. It's a good thing we live 6 hours away or we'd be there all the time!

Before we visited this place in August, we checked reviews on the usual sites. After reading them, we expected a great pizza and were ready for some waiting time, flies and unpredictable service. We would have been okay with that. The reality was the exact opposite. The much-talked-about flies were almost not there, the service was okay (even though I regard service as a 'n/a' in a place where you have to order and pay at the counter) but the pizza itself was absolutely horrible. This must have been the worst pizza base that has ever been presented to me in a restaurant (including dingy road side diners). The dough was partially uncooked, a completely soaked white mess from which the oil was dripping out (see picture). My girlfriend compared look and texture with a "dead man's stomach". I'm puzzled by all these great reviews here and elsewhere - even though somebody mentioned the soaked dough. We've been trying to come up with explanations. We were there early - so maybe the oven wasn't heated up enough and the pizza wasn't cooked right? Or there is a talented and a not-so-talented pizza-chef? However, even if the pizza may be better at other times, for a place that receives an award I can expect consistency - and at least that is not a given here.

We love Parker Pie and hangout as much as we can every summer. The beer is terrific, as is the food -- especially the pizza, but everything is. And live music sometimes. Happy faces It does get crowded and I guess they had to build another room. You might need to park over at the volunteer fire department, but friendly people will show you where.

Thought the GPS sent us on a wild goose chase. But no. The food was awesome. The pizza excellent--and this coming from a native New Yorker who has had some good pizza. Plus it was the kind of experience you just don't get to have every day. Eating great food in the middle of nowhere.

My most favorite place to be at (other than my Mom and Dave's house) in Vermont! The best pizza and beer and the perfect place to enjoy them both! I live in California, but every time I'm in VT, I frequent Parker Pie - the food, the atmosphere and the people - nothing better! p.s. If you go, say hi to my Mom & Step Dad for me, will you? Sweet friggin goodness! Parker Pie continually gets voted best pizza in Vermont. Excellent pizza in New England??? are you serious?? and in Vermont??? In the middle of... what... nowhere? Take a small place. A place where not only is everything local (like they do in VT), but you can also pull up to the driveway, or.. tie your horse up. Yes... people do show up here on horseback.. welcome to Vermont. Inside is a converted barn and two bar areas. First glance on a paper pie plate are the words written "Expect your pizza to take an hour or more". Well at least they tell you. So what can you do in the interim. First off there is exceptional beer on tap. Sure there will be some usuals, but don't ask me who trucks in some of this stuff this far, but you want Hill Farmstead. YOU WANT TO DRINK HILL FARMSTEAD BEERS my friends... you would be WASTING your time driving all the way out in the rurals, not supporting a fantastic brewery that is local, dodging wild turkeys on the road (I thought if I could hit one I could bring it here and they would cook it), and having beers only beer geeks DREAM of getting their hands on. That being said it's a good way to pass the time. Also buying some stuff in the store like the rice and grains sold made locally will do the trick also. We first got some nachos. i'll admit, they were a little disappointing. Slightly burnt, very little cheese, and a small portion. They were good, but could be considerably better. But then there are the pies. I honestly didn't wait that long for them, ordering a Works sans olives and pepperoni and also the Green Mountain special (more on that later). The Works in medium came out nice and chewy, lots of great tasty sausage and caramel onions and mushrooms and excellent goodies. But the killer as we were told... is the Green Mountain Special. The Green mountain special at first sounds like an abomination. Spinach, Apple, cheese (I mean were in Vermont is there no cheese I mean come on!), humanely created and raised bacon, and maple syrup. yes you read that correctly. Maple syrup. I thought this can NOT work... but believe me... it's magic... Ordering a large one, loaded with spinach, the syrup is just kissed so lightly and with the bacon and apples it is just heavenly rich, lightly sweet, with supper granola green goodness tastes. The crust also on the pies are supper thin, they absolutely CRACKLE when you eat them.. I have never had pizza from ANYWHERE this good, it is truly worth going out for and out of the way for. There is also apparently an upstairs area for live shows and music, but I never got to see that.

Eating delicious pizza with a view of the local airport isn't a bad way to spend a Saturday night! Definitely order something unique and out of the ordinary- you won't regret it! We had a large pie with green apple, red onion, spinach, bacon, and maple syrup- and maybe some cheese on there too! Divine!

love this place, but yes its not perfect. to sum it up..dinner for two is going to run you about $30 plus tip and take an hour but all and all its worth it. 1) parking..horrible. thankfully its on a dirt road without a lot of traffic. 2)building is an old barn, so it looks like a barn. yes there can be a lot of fly(gross true) but its not dirty or anything like that. 3)good selection on beer. going to average about $6 bucks a pint, not bad but it adds up quick. 4) food has always been good in my opinion, but you can easily die of starvation before you get it. (i think they take long so you buy more beer)

  • Sarah T.

Have been coming here for years don't know what has happened used to be great. Pizza is average at best. Crust tastes like Pizza Hut crust. Rude staff. Went there three times this past August. In addition when I called in an order I asked for a BLT with turkey. "That's NOT a BLT! That is a turkey sandwich!" Whatever. Focaccia bread was greasy and way too thick, bacon wasn't cooked thoroughly. Small plain pie tasted like a frozen/Pizza Hut type of pie and was SMALL. Another time the bartender took my money off the bar without asking, ignored me as I tried to alert him then told me it was his tip. I said no he said yes it was under an empty plate. Again I kindly corrected him and he continued to argue with me. He made a big deal out of it as did another bartender asking me very loudly so everyone could hear "Do you want me to take it out of the tip jar?" Shaming your customers isn't the way to behave. Thing is they would have gotten double the amount if they hadn't acted this way. Witnessed him being rude to an elderly woman as well. The pizza was once again blah. No flavor, horrible crust. Salad was okay, nothing special. When it is crowded they are completely in over their heads. It is a shame because we vacation in Glover every summer and are looking for a home in the area. Do yourselves a favor and drive the 20 minutes to Hardwick and go to Positive Pie. Parker has so-so food, staff with attitudes even when you call, and no it is not cute, quaint or quirky. We went there three times and each time was worse than the last so no it wasn't an off day. Here's a tip stop trying to be hip and cool and focus on the food and train your staff in customer service. And yes when we go back I will speak to the owner in person.

AMAZING pizza and a wonderful beer selection. The salads are also quite tasty! Not many tables (or parking), but this place was well worth it. Attached to a cute little country store, too! Check it out.

Amazing pizza. Inventive combinations, excellent high quality (local!) ingredients, perfect dough. Unmatched local beer & cider selection. A must visit every time I'm in NEK.

Stopped in on snowmobile over the weekend. This place is amazing! Staff was efficient, friendly & helpful. Had some really excellent sandwiches, chased with a few tasty local micro brews. Will be adding Parker Pie Company to our annual list of must go places.

    (5)
  • Andrew M.

I have been to the Pie quite a few times over the past couple of years. Their selection of micro-brews is expansive and ever-changing. The sandwiches are excellent, the pizza, meh, good, but not, as another reviewer commented, "life changing". Unless you are hanging out to listen to the live music on Thursday nights, get the order to go, just make sure you call 45 minutes to an hour ahead for a sandwich (I'll let you draw your own conclusions from that). A bit on the high side price wise, but when you're the only game in town...

I've never had such good pizza in Vermont before! To tell the truth, I don't think I've ever had pizza in Vermont before, period. We were late into the afternoon of a wedding weekend, with some excess in drinking, and peculiar food choices in the day previous, leaving us wanting something "comforting" and "relatively close by" the latter of which is a serious joke, because, you see, NOTHING is near anything else, least of all the things I wanted or needed to get to or see in this lovely moose-filled-country. After talking my youngest sister into calling and ordering, we followed the lady on the GPS to go pick up our pies. And after about a million twists and turns, we ended up at a strange fork (kinda?) in the road and the GPS lady said we had arrived. Arrived? Arrived, where?! This pizza joint looks more like an old house, with not much in the way of signage on the the front, or near the street, or anything to pick it out of the rest of the white, old, houses we'd passed before. They have parking in the back, and lots of picnic tables. They serve local beers, so we designated the baby sister as the babysitter, and each got a pint. They were good. We waited a bit longer for our pizzas, and then after a long drive home, we DEVOURED our pizzas. We got 3, the white pizza, a plain and I think some other specialty pizza. My favorite was the white one, followed by plain, the 3rd pizza is apparently VERY forgettable... Bring cash, their card service is unreliably (or just undeniably?) slow, which meant that my sister had to wait by herself inside until they "pushed" it through, or just take a copy of the receipt and they would try again later, which seemed a bit of a strange/unusual option.... I would order from here again, but I would definitely "buy" and skip the "flying" part.

Was told about this from the staff at hill farmstead. Small main room but they open up another one in the evening. 14 beers on tap btwn both rooms pizza, wings, sandwiches also a small store with craft beer n cider, jewelry clothing etc. We ordered the pizza with spinach, red onion, red/green apples cheddar bacon that is drizzled with maple syrup. This pizza is AMAZING and should be ordered at least once by anyone who goes there.. service was friendly too... I was sad to leave this spot

First time was a charm then totally down hill visit two and three. Great beer selection but get ready to wait one to two hours for food (REALLY NO LIE) and pizza is very greasy and crust thin and soggy. Sad because it's a very cool spot and really want this place to improve. Best pizza in Vermont, really???

  • Matthew A.

I found it too! I never exactly knew where this place was and this past weekend, after a few hours exploring the back country, I FOUND IT! I didn't get to try the pizza (next time) but I did find the place cool and very Vermont. It is at a old crossroads, parking out front is a bit cramped. More out back. The have gas. They run out frequently, as the guy at the counter said. One guy with a 4 wheeler and a handgun (legal not a holdup) was NOT pleased. He must have been low and on E (empty not the drug). You never really know what to find or expect here. I was surprised that I found Green French Lentils in bulk here as well as my favorite hot pepper sauce from the Vermont Pepper Company. Local artisan bread, maple syrup and local honey, local mirco brews and even local cheese. A pizza place with beer and a rocken back deck, and convenience store all in one. Now that I know where it is.....I'LL BE BACK.

I had visited Parker Pie once or twice in the last couple of years with my parents who live in the area. I didn't understand why they loved the pizza here so much, until I returned again with them recently. I really don't know why the pizza didn't leave an impression with me on the prior visits, because after tasting it again, I'm sold. It's delicious! We tried a few different kinds- buffalo chicken, plain cheese, and pepperoni/ sausage. They were all equally as good. The crust has a nice savory yet slightly sweet flavor. The toppings/cheese/sauce are carefully combined and distributed to not overwhelm the pizza but to still provide a nice impact! The atmosphere of Parker Pie completely befits the country Vermont setting it's in. It's casual, cool and laid-back. As other reviews have mentioned, there are indeed flies that come into the restaurant in the summertime. With the doors constantly swinging open to the deck and large backyard (which neighbors local farms), it may be an inevitable problem, but if there is a solution to this problem I think the customers would be appreciative. Regardless, it all helps set the scene of a charming, albeit rustic, pizza parlor in the back of a country store that peddles out tasty treats. Also, there is a great selection of beers on draft that pair perfectly with the pizza!

I went to Parker Pie after hearing my family rave about it forever. It is about 40 minutes from our summer house, so it is a bit of a drive, but a very pretty one and worth it for what we found when we got there. The pizza was unbelievable!! The backroom where we sat is a quaint little bar area, nothing fancy. We got there early because we knew from previous experience that the place can get packed. We ordered right away because we also knew from previous experience that it can take a long time to get your pizza. We were there for a full hour and a half before our order came out. That is the only reason for the 4 stars versus 5. We got a large pepperoni and peppers, medium something spicy with shrimp (can't remember the exact name), small meat lovers, and a small cheese. The large and medium pizzas came out first and were already a bit cold. I suspect they were trying to bring all the pizzas together, but when too much time had passed they brought the two that were ready. The small pizzas came out only a few minutes after and were nice and hot. All the pies were absolutely amazing when it comes to flavor. I wish that the wait wasn't so long, but if you aren't in a hurry this is the place to go for pizza in Northern Vermont. Oh and the fly problem that I've heard about seems to be fixed. There were some neon lights on the floors in the corner that I'm assuming were for bugs. I didn't see a single fly when I was there. I would definitely say it was the best pizza I've ever had!

  • Alicia D.

The food was good, but after hearing from multiple people that it was "amazing," "the best pizza ever," etc, I left underwhelmed. First, you should never tell a Jersey girl that ANY pizza in Vermont is going to be the best she's ever had... it won't be. Don't get me wrong, the pizza was delicious, but it didn't change my life. The wait for food was insane, which probably heightened both my anticipation and disappointment. Our single medium pizza took an hour. We ordered the Green Mountain Classic, without bacon (my dining companion doesn't eat meat). It was very tasty, as others have noted, with the maple syrup and apples adding a nice contrast to the saltiness of the cheese and garlic. If you live nearby or have to be in the area, this is a great place to have a bite (though make sure to order your pizza well before you're actually hungry). If you are planning on making a special trip, it might not be worth the drive.

Everything is relative. If Parker Pie was in NYC, it would only merit 3 stars, because there are several places to get better pizza in Brooklyn. However, we did not expect to find such good pizza in the back of a general store in the middle of the Northeast Kingdom. Happy surprise + 8 craft beer taps = 4 stars. We stopped for lunch on a snowy weekday, and ordered 2 small pies: veggie and Scotts Revenge. Both pizzas were very tasty with good quality mostly local toppings. The crust was thin and the right mix of crispy/chewy without being too much of either and good flavor. The Scott's Revenge was medium spicy, and the homemade hot sauce was very good. The veggie had lots of veggies without being overloaded. The main flaw is that both pizzas were on the wet side. This appeared to be caused by the fresh sauce, which was very good but watery. For us, this was not a problem as we ordered small pies and ate in the restaurant. Somone getting takeout, however, would likely end up with a soggy pie. We ate at a few other restaurants (not pizza) during our visit and this was a close second to lunch at Lost Nation brewery.

Out in the hills of Vermont, a pizza that includes spicy chili oil, crushed plum tomatoes, and shrimp? Why yes yes yes! People out here don't just settle for the conventional when it comes to their food. They have to make it special: artisanal and often innovative. And yes - that pizza made me soooo happy. As I have been with every one of their pies I've tried. Parker Pie simply rules. They have an outstanding, rotating selection of beers on tap, good reasonably priced wines, and a little store conveniently attached. Aaaaand, they are expanding to create a bar with a stage for shows. I preview the space (which is nearing completion), and it is totally unique and awesome. Perfectly Vermont.

Best pizza I've had in a long time. I come to Vermont every weekend in the winter, and we come here 2-3 times a year. It is well worth the 45 minute drive from Jay. If you can, you should come for trivia night on Monday nights every Summer, and Wednesdays every winter. It really is a great time!

We recently had yet another in a long line of dismal experiences at Parker Pie dating back to last year. The management seems to have completely taken their eye off the ball. The front of house and the kitchen are in serious need of attention.

I usually travel about 45 minutes away to link up here with some of my Canadian friends. Totally worth it...great selection of interesting pies, music, and beers. I've been here twice now...super fun every time.

No matter how good the pizza is and how well curated the draft beers are, no pizza and beer is worth an hour's worth of swatting away the hundreds of flies that descend nightly on Parker Pie. Flies landing all over your body and your food is just gross and takes all the enjoyment out of eating. No wonder everyone else was getting their pies to go.

I love this pizza (and have eaten good pizza all over NE). The basic pizza is delicious but the topping are amazing (local and fresh). My favorites are the greek and buffalo chicken (the strong blue cheese is so good). They always have a few good beers on tap as well as good choices for wine. My husband likes the subs and sandwiches as well - but I can't resist and pretty much always get pizza.

I found it! The best pizza in Vermont's Northeast Kingdom. This place is hard to find but well worth the effort. It occupies the back half of the Lake Parker Country Store in West Glover Vermont. The high quality of the ingredients, the near perfect crust and the country store feel when you are in there make me rate this pizza place very high. We went there on a tip from my dad-in-law's neighbor and were very pleased. My f-in-law got the Meatlovers pizza - sausage, pepperoni, ham. My wife got the Margherita - tomatoes and basil. I got The Works pizza - everything on the Meatlovers plus everything on the veggie lovers pizzas on one pie (MMMmmm!). Needless to say we were all stuffed by the time we left. The great thing about this place is that they are generous with the toppings. I mean fresh ingredients piled high on every pizza - very important to me when rating a pizza place. There were no canned mushrooms or deli meat for the ham ( I hate it when pizza places make pies from canned mushrooms, etc). Everything is fresh. The sausage and Canadian bacon came in huge chunks and the pepperoni just about covered the entire pie. For drinks, you can order beer or wine at the counter, however, if you want soda or bottled water you have to buy it from the store and bring it back into the restaurant. My one strike against this otherwise good pizza place is the housekeeping - I mean for Pete's sake wipe down the tables once in a while! I would have given this place 5 stars but for the shoddy conditions of the tables. Anyway, if you are in Northern VT and are jonesing for good pizza make your way to West Glover and the Parker Pie Co. It's good stuff!
